Canadian award winning, best selling author will perform a storytelling program and present a show of painting from her story the "Stone Journey." "Journey to Dodo Land" and "Magical Earth" was performed for 7 years in New York City, in Italy, Sweden and Gautemala, and in the spring of 2001 was presented at the World Festival for Island Cultures on Jeju Island, Korea. In 2002 it was storytold at the Vancouver Children's Festival. Workshops have been done internationally in USA, Mexico, Holland, Britain (Prydain) and throughout Canada. Her work is now a major electronic magazine on the web, "Dodoland in Cyberspace" at www.dodoland.com that has had over 8 million hits in eight years. |
Canadian sound poet and playwright, Penn Kemp shares the richness of her experience through her unique use of word, sound, imagery and symbolism. A prolific artist, Penn has to date published 20 books and had 4 plays produced. As performer and workshop leader, Penn has performed in many arts festivals, including a Symposium on Canadian Theatre at the University of Rajasthan (2000), a conference on "A Visionary Tradition: Canadian Literature and Culture at the Turn of the Millennium" (University of Guelph 1999), the International Sound Poetry Festival (NYC 1980), and Findhorn Arts Festival (Scotland, 1984, '85). |
