We visited Jeju island, Korea, an island rich in natural beauty and traditional cultures. We arrived to take part in the 2nd World Festival for Island Cultures being held between May 19th and June 17th, 2001 here on Jeju Island. Twenty-seven Islands from many parts of the world have come together to share their cultures and to build friendships across the oceans.

The festival intends to celebrate a new era of solidarity and prosperity, as well as the harmony between Island cultures, people and nature. Jeju Island also has plans to become an international Free City through which human resources, capital, information and culture will move freely.

The host of the festival is the Organizing Committee of the World Festival for Island Cultures-Jeju 2001 and some of the main sponsors are: MOFAT, MOGAHA, MOCT, KNTO, Jeju Provincial Govt, WTO, PATA, UNESCO, ASTA and KJCC.

We would like to give the children and other visitors to Dodoland an opportunity to see some of the pictures of many of the events that took place on Jeju Island. So please come and see the photos and slide shows.
